Govt warns of Private Security Agencies against license violations

Telangana Home Secretary Ravi Gupta warned all those security agencies to procure licenses immediately for both running the agency and to have arms in their possession.

He said in a note today that it has come to their notice that many security agencies in the state are deploying their manpower without having proper license to carry out their business besides securing a license for their arms and ammunition. He also warned those establishments engaging such security agencies to thoroughly check their legally valid licenses before engaging them including the arms license.

“Any violation in this regard by either of the parties would attract legal action under section 4 of Private Security Agencies Regulation Act (PSARA) which may attract imprisonment up to 1 year and fine up to Rs25,000 or more”, he clarified.
