Minister Harish Rao is to inaugurate series of programme in Narmetta village in Siddipet district on Sunday.
He would be inaugurating a newly completed Rythu Vedikca programme besides a newly developed park adjoining it in the village. According to the information available, the village Narmetta has been adopted by a city-based Corporate company as part of their CSR programme.
Though the government has created several infrastructure facilities in the village with a population of over 2500, the company has provided padding works to provide all these structures such as remodelling, constructing compound walls, beautifying old structures, lakes, temples besides undertaking massive clean and green drive, setting up steel bank as part of its campaign against Plastic use, achieving 100 per cent literacy, creating employment avenues through vocation courses for youth, empowering womenfolk by creating self-employment avenues etc.
The most important being that the Narmetta village today is heading for organic farming. Thanks to the concerted efforts of the company, most of the farmers are today are gradually shifting to organic farming by using indigenously developed fertilisers from its traditional usage of chemical fertilisers.
