The Corona positive cases on the rise in Telangana with at least 200 cases registering everyday post lockdown. 253 cases reported on Saturday while 8 deaths took place which is considered to be highest ever recorded so far since the outbreak of the pandemic.

A total of 4,737 cases, on the whole, has been registered so far out of which positive cases are 2,203 while 182 died so far. However, recovery the recovery rate is also equally high with 2352 have been discharged so far. the death rate is at 182 cases.

Interestingly, more number of cases with as many as 179 out of 253 are being reported from the GHMC area while 24 from Sangareddy, 14 from Medchal, 11 from RR District, 4 from Mahabubnagar, 2 each from Warangal, Karimnagar, Nalgonda, Mulugu, Sircilla, Mancherial while one each from Siddipet, Khammam, Medak, Nizamabad, Nagarkurnool, Kamareddy and Jagtiyal.

However, the only consolation is not a single non-local case was reported from any part of the state. Does this show that the cases are totally indigenous and giving a benefit of the doubt whether the pandemic has assumed community proportions in the state?
