In yet another achievement, the High Court on Friday found fault with the rejection of the nomination of senior IAS officer Jayesh Ranjan contesting as the President of Telangana Olympic Association.
According to the Secretary contestant Arshanaplly Jaganmohan Rao, the High Court today rejected the decision of the Returning Officer Justice Chandra Kumar and ordered to accept the same following no objection certificate given by the Chief Secretary. Jayesh is currently the Principal Secretary of IT. However, he had submitted his nomination with necessary permission from the Chief Secretary. But it was rejected by the returning officer Chandra Kumar.
With court clearing the hurdle, Jayesh had re-entered the fray as the President of TOA opposite Ranga Rao. The elections are slated to be held on February 9, 2020.
Jaganmohan Rao alleged that Jayesh was deliberately made to suffer fearing their defeat in the elections. He expressed the confidence that Jayesh panel would sweep elections and capture power.
