Telangana High Court on Tuesday cancelled the state government’s order of not to perform Covid tests on the dead bodies.
Hearing the petition on the low rate of testings in Telangana, a special bench of the high court took serious objections at the state government’s decision to this effect and struck off the GO. The court questioned the government as to what made it to perform such a low testings when compared to other states.
The court asked the Public Prosecutor to submit the list of Covid tests conducted so far in the state from March 11 to till date and submit the court to the same before June 4. The bench also ordered the government to conduct tests on each death without fail.
