The Directorate of Medical and Health (DMHO) received a minor set back today with High Court issuing stay orders on the notices given to the Global hospital with regard to the Covid treatment.
The DMHO has issued a notice to the Global hospital in Lakdikapool seeking to hand over its original hospital registration papers in view of the complaints of excess billing to treat the covid patients. The hospital management has approached the Court on the notice issued by the DMHO.
The court, accepting the argument of the hospital authorities that the state has no powers to issue such notices without giving it a chance to explain its version, has issued the stay orders. The court said if the DMHO can reissue the same later after the hearing.
