HM, DG calls upon new recruits to serve the society with dedication

Telangana Police Department has earned a name for itself for its friendly policing and hence the state government is being given top priority, said the Home Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali.


He was addressing at the passing out parade of 499 Stiphendary Constables at Yousufguda first battalion campus. He said since the law and order is the top priority of the government, it has given the highest budget allocation to modernise its infrastructure and material so that the personnel can deliver effective services. He also stressed that the women were also given equal priority as more number of women were recruited in the department.

The Director-General of Police (DGP) Mahender Reddy in his address called upon the new recruits to dedicate themselves in the service of the people 24×7 as the policing is considered as a responsibility but not as a job. “If the law and order are under control, then only the state will prosper as new investments would come into enabling the state to progress industrially”, he said.

Home Minister Mahmood Ali is seen giving away awards to a constable while DGP and Additional DG look on.

He called upon them to maintain the dignity and decorum of the police profession at all times during their career.

March fasts, parades, drills, karate demo and other sports were presented on the occasion. The Commandant AK Misra and Additional Commandant K Veeraiah were among those who participated in the programme.
