HM distributes compensation cheques to deceased families

Home Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali is seen distributing cheques to the family members of those died in the floods in the city while Owaisi brothers look on.

Minister for Home Mohd Mahmood Ali today distributed cheques to the families of those who died in the floods in the city.


Accompanied by Owaisi brothers, Mahmood Ali gave away cheques of Rs5 lakh each to at least 12 members families who have died in the floods. The beneficiaries including Anis Begum, Farah Begum and Kaniz Begum of Bahadurpura. Few deceased families were unable to attend and their cheques were handed over to the MRO.

The Home Minister said that the rains on October 13 and 14 have caused a major loss of life and property. He said that the Chief Minister has assured that the Telangana government would provide double bedroom houses to the people whose houses have been completely damaged

It may be recalled that at least 50 people died in the floods that ravaged the whole city especially the low-lying areas which left a trail of destruction.
