Telangana tops in the law and order maintenance in the country, claims the Telangana Home Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali.
He was speaking at a meeting to present the Police Medals to as many as 418 police officers of different cadres here at Ravindra Bharati on Wednesday. The large number of police officers including DGP Mahendar Reddy, Secretary Home Affairs Ravi Gupta and other senior officials including the city Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar attended the meeting.
Continuing his speech, he said development is possible only when the law and order are under full control. The glaring example for this is there was no curfew in the state ever since the state was formed and appreciated the cops for their relentless efforts in maintaining law and order. He also appreciated them for participating in Haritha Haram programme.
He further declared that the 20-floored Polie Command Control room is fast coming up at Banjara Hills for which the recruitment of 18000 men have already been completed and they will be imparted training from 17th of this month, he said.
The police officers who received medals include: Jitender, Jaya Jain, Sandeep Sandilya, CV Anand, and Abhilasha Bist were among the recipients including 3 additional DGPs, 2 IGs, 3 DIGs, 3 SPs, 10 Non-Cadre SPs, 29 Additional SPs, 53 DSPs, 48 Inspectors, 59 SIs, 76 ASIs, 87 Head Constables and 47 Constables. The medals were given under 5 categories include President Police Medal, Chief Minister’s Sarvonnata Medal, Chief Minister’s Mahonnata Medal, Bravery Medal and Vishista Seva Medal.
