Hyderabad will be renamed as ‘Bhagyanagar’: Yogi Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has indicated the possibility of changing the name of Hyderabad as Bhagyanagar.

Addressing a public meeting at Shalibanda school grounds in the old city here today, UP CM did not rule out the possibility of what he said renaming Hyderabad as Bhagyanagar. “Some people are asking me whether Hyderabad name will be changed as Bhagyanagar. I said, why not? When BJP could change Faizabad and Ayodhya and Allahabad into Prayagraj, Why not Hyderabad”, he quipped.

Earlier, he participated in a roadshow from Charminar to Laldarwaja, Gowlipura and reached Shalibanda to address a public meeting there.

Meanwhile, CM KCR in his public meeting today criticised Adityanath for what he termed failing to fulfil people’s promises in his own state back home. “UP is in the lowest GDP rate states at 25th place while Telangana stands at 5th place. What he would tell people by coming all the way here”, he said sarcastically.
