Ibrahimpur turns ‘Symbol of Telangana’ as Governor inspires to plant 5 lakh trees

Siddipet, Medak: Governor Narasimhan accompanied by the Minister for Irrigation Harish Rao participated in Haritha Haram programme today in Ibrahimpur village under Siddipet mandal of Medak district. Inspired by the Governor’s presence who kick-started the Haritha Haram programme, the villagers created a record of sorts by planting 5 lakh trees in a single day in the village. In this connection, Governor interacted with the farmers, villagers and appreciated the efforts of the Minister Harish Rao in implementing the good number of development and welfare schemes in Ibrahimpur village. He termed the village as Symbol of Telangana and wanted the village to have all the amenities that the city has in store. 

However, the Minister Harish Rao while thanking the Governor for his appreciation said that the development achieved in Ibrahimpur was just because of the collective efforts of villagers. The others who participated in the programme include Deputy Speaker Padma Devendar Reddy, MPs Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, Bibi Patel, MLCs Farooq Hussain, Sudhakar Reddy MLA Ramalinga Reddy, OSD in CMO Priyanka Varghese, District Collector Ronald Ross, Sarpanches and local leaders.
