Inter-Ministerial team leaves for Delhi after a week-long inspection

The Inter-ministerial Central Team (IMCT) headed by Additional Secretary of Jalashakti Arun Baroka left for Delhi today by a special aircraft from Hyderabad.

The team arrived in the city 10 days ago on April 24, and visited several places i.e., Hospitals, Containment Zones, Quarantine Zones, Shelter homes, Rythu Bazars, Annapurna Mobile canteens etc and inspected the arrangements made to combat the Covid-19 pandemic by the state government.

The team held discussions with the Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, DGP Mahender Reddy, Principal Secretary for Health Ms.Shanthi Kumari, Commissioner GHMC DS Lokesh Kumar and other officials.

Further, the Central Team visited the Covid-19 Control Room established at GHMC Head Office and enquired the services offered to the citizens’ calls. The Central Team expressed their satisfaction on measures taken to combat Covid-19 and implementation of lockdown measures in the city. They left for Delhi and will be submitted their report to the Central Government in a day or two.
