IPRS and Dolby to launch #HERmusic campaign on March 8

With International Women’s day round the corner, the Indian Performing Right Society Limited (IPRS) teamed up with Dolby Laboratories and Hungama Artist Aloud to launch the campaign #HERmusic.

The initiative kickstarts with a roundtable discussion on Monday, March 8 with leading women artists in the music industry. The discussion will address the concern of the underrepresentation of women artists in the Indian music industry.

Renowned artists like Music Director Sneha Khanwalkar, Singer, Composer, Music Producer Anushka Manchanda, Indie Pop Musician Natania Lalwani, Sound Engineer Hiral Viradia, Singer & Composer Anwesshaa, Senior Vice President, Hungama Artist Aloud Soumini Sridhara Paul and Editor, Rolling Stone Nirmika Singh have come together to express their experience and views on identifying the probable barriers and creating a conducive environment to flourish.

#HERmusic initiative aims to reach a nationwide audience to a recognized movement where female artists, composers, songwriters, sound engineers, producers, industry professionals have supported their outstanding contribution towards the music in India.
