Jagan to stake claim to form govt, to meet KCR in Pragathi Bhavan

The YSRCP party chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy has been elected as the leader of his party’s Legislature party today in its party office in Amaravathi.

The proposal to this effect was first moved by the senior party leader Botsa Satyanarayana and seconded by Dharmana Prasada Rao and other senior leaders which instantly received approval from all the elected members from with thunderous applause. He earlier garlanded the statue of his father and former Chief Minister of united AP late Dr YS Rajasekhar Reddy before commencing the YSRCL meet.

Later YS Jagan is expected to meet the Governor ESL Narasimhan at 4.30 pm this evening and hand him over the YSRCP LP resolution only to stake claim to form the government in Andhra Pradesh.

He is also likely to meet the Telangana Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao as a courtesy and thank him for his moral support extended to him throughout the campaign period to counter the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). Jagan reportedly will meet KCR at Pragathi Bhavan at 5 pm and extend an invitation to KCR to attend his oath-taking ceremony to be held in Vijayawada on May 30th.
