Journalists JAC helps Covid victim Manoj’s family with 51,000

Members of Journalists JAC led by its Convenor Devarakonda Kalidas is seen handing over a cheque of Rs 51,000 to the mother of the deceased Journo Manoj while others look on.

A Journalists Joint Action Committee (JJAC) which was formed recently to fight for the cause of journalists suffering from COVID pandemic has announced financial assistance of Rs 51,000 to the deceased Journalist Manoj who died of Covid19 recently.

The delegation led by the convenor Devarakonda Kalidas and co-convenor Avvaru Raghu called on the mother of Manoj and handed over the cheque for Rs 51,000 as a token of gesture. The delegation comprising the members of core committee including MPV Ramana, Kaparthi Janardhan, P Prakash, I Krishna and others have also consoled the other family members and assured all help and support in the case of any necessity in future.

Speaking on the occasion, Kalidas informed quoting Manoj’s mother as saying that they have not received any help neither from the TV5 management nor from the government or any other agency or organisation till date. He accused the government of neglecting journalist community while they are falling victim to the COVID pandemic and declared that the journalists JAC would take the issues to the notice of the Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao.

Later in the day, the JAC members have launched the Logo at its office in Amberpet.
