The ace badminton player Gutta Jwala has approached the state government for setting up Jwala Gutta Academy of Excellence to train the youngsters in the Badminton sport.
The 14-times national champion and Number 6 in the world rankings, Gutta has met the Minister for Sports Srinivas Goud at his chambers today and handed over a detailed proposal to this effect. She sought the government’s help in this regard. She also assured that she would focus on training the rural badminton players and bring out the finest talents among them. In order to achieve so, she also proposed to hold CM Cup in Badminton every year for which she sought the approval from the Telangana Sports Academy.
The minister assured Gutta that he would take the matter to the notice of the Chief Minister and discuss about it.
