Kaleshwaram Wet Run successful, CM KCR appreciates Engineers

It was a dream come true for the 3.5 crore populace when the Telangana Engineers created a history by successfully completing the much-awaited Wet-Run of the Kaleswaram Project here today.

The trial run was performed by operating the first unit. The engineers said the other 6 units would also be operated through which over 2 TMCs of water would be pumped into the reservoir from where the waters would reach Nandi Medaram surgical pool first and then to Laxmipur Pump House from where it would reach mid-Manair through Lift Irrigation.

The staff and the villagers who gathered in large numbers at the project site went in to jubilation soon after the waters began gushing out from the first unit. Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to CM Smita Sabharwal inaugurated the surgical pool by performing puja at the project site earlier. The top Engineers, OSDs and advisors including Penta Reddy, Sridhar Rao Deshpandey etc. were among those who participated in the wet-run.

Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao expressing his happiness at the successful completion of the wet-run, appreciated the engineers for their achievement.
