KCR to change District Collectors as District Administrative Officers

KCR government is brooding over to change the nomenclatures of certain administrative posts such as ‘District Collector’ .

The Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao revealed this while speaking at a political campaign meeting in Mahabubabad on Wednesday. He said that he would ensure that no land dispute exists until the last bit in the state by reorganising the land records. The head of the tax collectors is called the ‘Collectors’ which is continuing till date since the British era. Since there is no revenue tax is being collected on the agricultural lands in the state, there is no requirement of a post called District Collector. Hence we are thinking to rename the District Collector post as the  District Administrative Officer (DAO).

He also stressed the need to change the name of the Revenue department as the state government is not collecting any revenue. While urging the people to vote for the development he brought in so far including Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhagiradha, uninterrupted power supply, Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bheema, etc, KCR has also promised a medical college at Mahabubabad.

Referring to the Seetharam Naik’s episode, KCR clarified that he was denied ticket not because he had done something wrong but due to various factors. He also praised the former professor’s services and said that he would be given due respect and good position in the days to come.

Malothu Kavitha is the second woman candidate in the state contesting on TRS ticket from the Mahabubad constituency after the Nizamabad candidate Kalvakuntla Kavitha.
