Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao has requested the Civil Aviation Secretary Pradeep Singh Kharola to take steps to expedite the sanction of airstrips at six places in the state.
He made the request when the Civil Aviation Secretary Pradeep Singh Kharola called on him at the Pragati Bhavan today. He said the state has decided to set up airstrips in 6 places in the state, at Mamunur in Warangal district, at Basant Nagar in Peddapalli, at Adilabad district headquarters, at Palvancha in Badradri Kottagudem, at Jakran Palli in Nizamabad and at Devarakadra in Mahabubnagar district.
Earlier, he said, the state government has already appealed to the Center in this regard to which the visiting dignitary has assured CM KCR that the matter would be taken up for speedy sanction of airstrips in the state.
Chief Secretary to Government Somesh Kumar, R and B Principal Secretary Sunil Sharma, E In C Ravinder Rao also were present in the meeting.
