KCR’s ‘shoot orders’ threat working as no fresh case registered today

The total number of Covid positive cases in the state has climbed up to 39 as the 4 suspects whose reports were awaiting tested positive. However, no fresh case was reported today.

Meanwhile, the Lockdown was complete on the second day today with majority of the roads wore a deserted look in many parts of the city when compared to yesterday where people had come out defying the government orders.

Today the situation seems to have come under the control with only the skeleton traffic found on the roads and most of the people remained indoors. It appeared that Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao’s threat to issue shoot-at-sight orders had worked well with people remaining indoors.

“I wanted to go out but KCR’s warning yesterday has made me rethink and police are also not allowing”, said Ratnakar of Chintal Basti.

“We are not getting newspaper and milk in view of the lockdown”, complained Suresh Verma of Anand Nagar colony.

However, the areas like LB Nagar, Dilsukhnagar, Koti, Basheerbagh, Lakdikapool, Panjagutta, Ameerpet, Kukatpalli, Secunderabad, Kachiguda, Paradise have all found deserted. Except for the traffic and law and order cops, no others visible on the streets.

Telangana has strengthened surveillance, contact tracing and containment measures against the possible spread of disease. However, there was no new case registered till late in the evening today.
