Kishan Reddy holds KCR responsible for poor voter turnout

Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy held the Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao responsible for the poor turnout of voters in the GHMC elections held today.


Addressing the media here at BJP headquarters in the city today, Kishan Reddy the government should be ashamed of poor voter turnout today as it has utilised the election commission for its selfish needs with an objective to prevent other parties from winning even if they lose.

He called up on intellectuals to think over the reasons behind the poor voter turnout in this elections. “CM had deliberately called for elections and create a panic situation only to bring down the vote per centage”, said Kishan Reddy alleging that the government and the elections commission had masterminded the elections.

He further said that even the elections in Jammu Kashmir held amidst threats at AK47 gunpoint had received 54% voter turnout whereas GHMC failed to record. However, he expressed confidence, that his party would win the elections on December 4 and congratulated all his party leaders for what he termed tirelessly working in the elections.
