Minister for Municipal Administration KT Rama Rao asked the GHMC to complete the distribution of PPE safety kits to all its staff before the end of this month.
He was distributing PPE safety kits worth Rs13 crores to over 22,000 sanitation workers and 2500 entomology staff here at a programme organised at the Animal Care Centre in the city today. He urged the GHMC staff to strictly adhere to the Covid safety regulations while working in the field wearing the safety kits. He reassured them of all support in the fight against Covid pandemic.
He also informed that in the past, the government has already distributed 1,80,000 facial masks, 27,000 hand gloves and 27,000 litres of hand sanitisers to the entomology department staff.
He also visited the stall erected at the premises to display the safety kits by the entomology department. The city Mayor Dr Bonthu Rammohan, Chairman Musi River Development Devireddy Sudhir Reddy, MLC Egge Mallesham, Croporator Sangeetha, GHMC Commissioner DS Lokesh Kumar, EVDM Director Viswajit Kampati, Additional Commissioner Rahul Raj, Zonal Commissioner Upender Reddy, Chief Entomologist Rambabu were among those who attended the programme.
