KTR, Harish lay foundation stone for rail coach factory in Kondakal

Ministers KT Rama Rao and Tanneer Harish Rao are seen on the dias at the foundation stone laying ceremony of Medha Rail Coach Factory in the city today. Others including MLA Kale Yadaiah, Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy and Medha MD Kashyap Reddy also seen.

Ministers of Industry and Finance KT Rama Rao and Tanneer Harish Rao jointly laid a foundation stone for the Medha Servo Rail Coach Factory (MSRCF) at Kondakal near Sangareddy today.

Minister KT Rama Rao while appreciating Medha Factory for setting up the biggest rail coach factory here, he appealed to the Centre at the same time to fulfill their promise of setting up a fullfledged Railway Coach Factory at Kazipet at the earliest and its been 6 years since they made a promise of establishing it there.

Referring to his government’s recent decision to establish a skill training centre here to help those investors employing more than 60 or 70 per cent to the local youth and announced that his government would extend all support and cooperation to the Medha. He also called up on Medha management to adopt the 2 villages locally situated in its jurisdiction as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity.

Speaking on the occasion, Medha Managing Director Kashyap Reddy said that his company had provided Servo technology to the train being run between Varanasi-New Delhi and Katra 5-days week inaugurated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in March 2019. He said Medha is the only company in India to manufacture Solar Inverters with 9.5 MW. “Our’s is a company providing European based servo technology solutions to automate Railways, Power, Water distribution etc.”, said the Chairman.

We will invest about Rs 1000 crore to create an infrastructure to deliver rail coaches from Hyderabad besides employing over more than 1000 directly and 1200 indirectly. Medha Factory has the capacity to manufacture 500 monorails and 50 metro-rail coaches here, he said.

Appreciating the Union Railway Minister Piyush Goel’s efforts in revolutionizing the railway sector as visualised by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the vision of CM KCR. “If everything goes well India well be able to turn the first country to produce rail coaches indigenously in the private sector by 2023 as per the vision of our Prime Minister”, he exalted.

It may be recalled that the Medha had entered into an MoU with TSIIC in October 2019 for setting up the railway coach factory in Telangana. Accordingly, TSIIC had allocated 100 acres of land at Kondakal to Medha Servo Drives Rail, Metro Coach Factory.
