KTR sanctions Rs 347 crore for repairs of roads and sewerage lanes

KTR reviewing flood situation in Hyderabad

Minister MA&UD K Taraka Rama Rao ha sanctioned Rs 347 Crores to GHMC and HMWS&SB to enable it to take restoration and repair of roads and sewerage water pipelines in the city.


The Minister while reviewing the rehabilitation measures being undertaken in the city has instructed the Electricity department in coordination with the GHMC and restore power supply in colonies and apartment within 24 hours. He wanted the HMWW&SB to supply drinking water through tankers in all the inundated areas.

Further, the KTR instructed the Commissioner GHMC to conduct special Sanitation drive in flood-affected areas and also to coordinate with the Health Department in organizing medical camps in the flood-affected areas.

When raised about the restoration of Nala issue at Rasoopura by the Cantonment MLA Sayanna who was also present in the meeting, KTR sanctioned Rs6 crore immediately for the restoration of the same from the GHMC funds.

Later, the Mayor Dr Bonthu Rammohan and Dy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin have handed over a cheque of one month salary of all the Corporators in GHMC to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).

Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar, HMWS&SB MD Dana Kishore, Commissioner GHMC Lokesh Kumar, EVDM Director Vishwajit Kampathi, TSSPDCL MD Raghuma Reddy, Chief Engineer Zia Uddin, CCP Devender Reddy and other senior officials participated in the review meeting.
