The Telangana State Secretary of Communist Party of India (Maoist) Jagan has called upon his cadre and the people to celebrate his party’s 16th-anniversary celebrations from September 21 to 27 throughout the country.

In a statement issued here today, the Maoists Secretary said the party has completed its 16th year on Monday, September 21st and wanted people to hold the week-long celebrations with renewed vigour as the party has emerged unscathed from the state repression especially in Telangana.

The party in its continued battle for achieving new democratic revolution in the country had lost more than 100 comrades including 16 women in the process, he said. Still, our party cadre continued its militant struggles against the fascist TRS and BJP governments in the forest regions, he said.

They are putting out their fight against the entry of multination companies, mining in the forest zones, tiger zones, open cast minings, uranium excavations, displacing tribals in the name of Haritha Haram besides building massive dams, plants, projects etc. Despite all odds and resistance, party cadre continued to surge ahead waging guerilla battle against the enemy to establish people’s democratic government, said Jagan.

He further came down heavily on the TRS and BJP governments for what he termed resorting to the exploitation of people in the Coronavirus. BJP’s deceiving people through its Atma Nirbhar Bharath while TRS failed in helping people in this pandemic. Raithu Bandhu was stopped, displacing the outsourcing employees, unemployment has grown up, imposed cuts in employees’ salaries, no medical facilities even for those fighting covid, education sector went out of control, Corporate Education ruling the roost etc.
