Close on the heels of Kesara Tehsildar Nagaraj’s corruption episode in which he demanded more than One crore bribe, a top official of the Revenue department of an Additional District Collector rank caught red-handed while accepting a cash of Rs 1.12 crore.
According to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths, the Medak District Additional Collector Nagesh was caught redhanded while accepting the Rs1.12 crore out of 1.40 Crore which he demanded to given a No Objection Certificate (NOC) in connection with 112 acres of land in Tippalthurty village in Narsapur division of the same district.
What more interesting is, the Additional Collector has also collected a Promissory Note to this effect from the opposite party and in addition, he also ensured that they also transfer the ownership of another property worth nearing One Crore in his name.
The authorities have collected cheque, property agreement, audio clips etc from his residence in Machavaram during a raid today. Raids are also being conducted simultaneously on the houses of his relatives and friends in about 12 places across the state.
