The daughter-in-law of Telangana Minister Allola Divya Reddy has been awarded the prestigious ‘Power Women’ award for her contribution to the environment and animal wealth.
The award has been instituted by the Lead India Foundation set up under the leadership of former President of India late APJ Abdul Kalam. The Karnataka Speaker Visweshwar Hegde Khageri and Industries Minister Jagadish Shetkar have handed over the award to her at a function organised in Bengaluru commemorating International Women’s Day today.
Divya Reddy is the wife of Allola Gautham Reddy, the son of Forest Minister Allola Indra Karan Reddy. She has been running Klimom Wellness Farms and a Go Shala on the outskirts of the city wherein hundred of cows were sheltered. Every year, she distributes Ganesh idols made of cow-dung free of cost to the people to promote environmental protection and promotes dairy-related products using an ancient scientific approach.
