Ministers inspect arrangements at Medaram


The members of the Cabinet Committee on Development of Medaram inspected the arrangements being made at the Medaram in view of the forthcoming Tribal festival, Sammakka Sarakka Jatara scheduled to be held from February 5, 2020.

The members comprising Ministers Indrakaran Reddy, Erraballi Dayakar Rao, Satyavathi Rathod have visited bathing ghats at Jampanna Vagu and inquired with the officials about the makeshift installations for vendors, parking, toilets, drinking water facilities, fires safety measures etc and conducted a review meeting with every department officials individually and collectively.

The Ministers said in view of a large number of people expected to throng Medaram this year as it came to stay as the biggest tribal festival in Asia, every care is being taken to avoid any inconvenience to the visiting devotees.

They also instructed police to instal a separate control room at the location and monitor the people and situation with a hawk-eye for the smooth conduct of the festival. They later paid their respects to the tribal goddesses at the podium.

The Warangal TRS MP Pasunur Dayakar, MLAs Malothu Kavitha, Rajaiah, Challa Dharma Reddy, Seethakka, Pochampalli Srinivas Reddy, IG Nagi Reddy and District Collector Vasam Venkateswarlu were among those who joined the Ministers at the site.
