A Ministers’ team led by KT Rama visited the flood-affected areas in the Warangal district on Tuesday following the instructions by the Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao.
He was accompanied by the Ministers Etela Rajender, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Satyavathi Rathod and Government Chief Whip Dasyam Vinaya Bhaskar besides Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, Principle Secretaries Municipal Administration Aravind Kumar, Medical and Health Murtuza Rizvi, and DHE Ramesh Reddy.
The team took stock of the situation by visiting Nayeem Nagar, Sammaiah Nagar, Gopalpur, Peddammagadda-University Road, Pothana Nagar, Bondivaagu road, Ramannapet, Hunter Road, Santoshi Mata temple area, Urs, Rangasayeepet, Siva Nagar and other areas. At several places, the team members spoke to the people affected by rains and floods besides inspecting roads damaged in the calamity.
KTR assurance the people of all government help in this regard and said he would stand by them and extend all the required help. He also assured them that essential commodities would be provided till the situation comes back to normalcy.
It was found that at most of the places people complained of encroachments of nalas and bunds due to which the flooding has taken place. At Hunter Road, KTR along with other public representatives walked through the floodwaters and assessed the situation. KTR specifically congratulated the Disaster Response Force (DRF) members for participating in the relief measures.
They later visited the Covid ward in MGM Hospital in Warangal where they went inside wearing full PPE kits and interacted with the patients. The Ministers inquired about the kind of treatment being given at the hospital besides requirement about medicines, ventilators, injections, medical equipment, expert doctors, staff availability etc.
MPs Banda Prakash, Pasunuri Dayakar, MLAS Aruri Ramesh, Nannapuneni Narender, Tatikonda Rajaiah, Challa Dharma Reddy, City Mayor Gunda Prakash Rao, Collector Rajiv Hanmanthu, Police Commissioner Pramod Kumar, Municipal Commissioner Pamella, KUDA Chairperson Marri Yadav Reddy, Market Committee Chairman Chintam Sadanandam, DCCB Chairman Marneni Ravinder and others participated in the programme.
