Modi accuses Left of ruining cultural heritage of Kerala

PM Modi is addressing a election meeting in Pathanamthitta in Kerala today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi slammed the left parties in Kerala saying the BJP would not allow left parties to scuttle the Indian culture by imposing their internationally rejected outdated ideology.

Addressing a mammoth gathering at an election meeting in Pathanamthitta in Kerala today, Narendra Modi came down heavily on the ruling LDF government for projecting Kerala State in a poor light nationally and internationally. “In fact, Kerala is God’s own country and has a rich cultural heritage which now has come under severe attack under its outdated ideology”, he said referring to the recent controversy over the entry of women devotees into the holy Sabarimala temple.

He promised to give a fillip not just to entertainment tourism alone, but also encourage, medical tourism, spiritual tourism, and eco tourism to place Keral on high pedastal at international level. PM Modi also accused the opposition parties of accusing Centre of not supporting state economically. “In fact, most of the schemes are being run with Central funds but they are afraid of giving credits to Modi. No worry, let them take the entire credit but let not make people to suffer”, he said.

He also warned that his party would not allow these forces to take over the state and ruin the age-old rich cultural heritage at the cost of the development of this state enriched with abundant natural resources and urged the people to rethink the state’s future and support BJP in this elections.
