No pay cut for Medical and Health, Police: KCR to announce incentives

Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao has decided to pay full month salary for medical and health and police employees and staff.

In addition to this, an incentive package is also being worked out for them as a token of gesture for their services being rendered in this hour of crisis. A decision to this effect will soon be announced by the CM.

This decision was taken at a review meeting chaired by the Chief Minister held here at Pragathi Bhavan today. Medical and Health Minister Etela Rajender, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, DGP Mahender Reddy, Finance Secretary Ramakrishna attended the meeting.

It may be recalled that the government has taken some austerity measures in view of the economic slump in the state owning to the COVID crisis in the state. As part of it, the CM has announced a cut in payments of all the recipients right from Chief Minister to the Class-4 employee. However, owing to the requests poured in over exempting this two category of people including Medical and Health and Police, the CM has revived his decision exempting them.
