NSUI students resort to fast unto death, seeks postponement of NEET, JEE exams

As part of the Congress party’s nationwide program, the state unit of TPCC to hold dharnas in front of all district headquarters and in Hyderabad on Friday protesting against the state and central Government’s decision to hold NEET & JEE exams.

NSUI President B Venkat his other office bearers sat on a fast unto death demanding postponement of JEE, NEET exams in Gandhi Bhavan today. TPCC chief and the Nalgonda MP Capt Uttam Kumar Reddy called on the students and expressed his solidarity.

He also demanded the government to withdraw the decision of holding the exams despite outright public demand as it may prove to be a disaster during this Covid pandemic situation.

He also announced that an online campaign “Speak up for student safety” demand postponement of JEE & NEET exams will be launched simultaneously on various social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Youtube etc.
