Chairman of Patanjali group, the leader of ayurvedic products in the country, Ramdev Baba has released the first ayurvedic Covid medicine called Coronil Tablets into the market in Haridwar today.

Speaking on the occasion, Ramdev Baba said the tablet was invented after conducting clinical trials on nearly 100 patients and found that 65 per cent of them have shown negative results in just 3 days of its usage. He claimed that his medicine had registered 100 per cent recovery and 0 per cent deaths during the clinical trials.

“Hence, the Coronil Tablets can be used by the Covid patients”, he declared adding that the clinical research was conducted in association with the National Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS).

However, Ramdev Baba has got a shock from the centre after the Ministry of Ayush reportedly asked him to furnish complete details of research, the ingredients used and the quantity prepared in the medicine, and the details of hospital wherein the tests were conducted. It also asked to furnish the details of its findings besides the approval of Institutional Ethics Committee Clearance certificate and CTRI registration details etc. “Until then, stop advertising and release the product into the market”, said the source in Ayush ministry.
