Home Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali was all praise for the plasma donors who saved lives of 1300 plus patients in critical and emergency condition with the help and support of Cyberabad Police.
Speaking at a felicitation function organised by the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate in Gachibowli, Home Minister said: “I am overwhelmed to see Cyberabad police going out of their way to help people out. One should always remember that service to the people is the real service to God. I want to thank each one you present here for carrying out such a programme, to spread awareness amidst tough times of pandemic. It gives me immense pleasure to say that all of you in the police force is carrying out the efforts to make the state the best place to live in”.
Minister also requested the parents of COVID warriors to encourage their children to donate their Plasma which saves the lives of corona patients. He said it is a proud moment to thank Plasma donors and their family members for support and encouragement. He reiterated that Plasma donation is a social responsibility and Donors are God gifts as they were saving lives. He requested the public to come forward and donate Plasma for which Society will be grateful for the plasma donors.
Cyberabad police chief VC Sajjanar said: “I would like to thank each of the stakeholders who have been working hard to make the cause successful. Initially, there was a misconception among people about plasma donation. But now it has become a movement”.
A total of 761 people till date donated Plasma in Cyberabad limits. Thanks to the efforts of Cyberabad CP Sajjanar, the cops could collect over 5300 units of blood by organising camps and thereby could save more than 1300 lives so far. Madhapur Traffic Inspector Srinivas was the first person to donate his plasma after he recovered from the infection which soon was followed by others. Other fraternities like a business, IT, govt employees etc. too joined the cause.
Home Minister also felicitated several donors including the policemen who spearheaded the movement. They include DCP Traffic Cyberabad SM Vijay Kumar, Addl DCP Traffic Praveen Reddy, and Inspector Hanumantha Rao. The CP has also set up a Call Centre for plasma helpline and helped out people who were in need of plasma.
