Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao has instructed the officials concerned to continue to implement methods for prevention of the Coronavirus as it is and ensure that no one suffers due to hunger during the lockdown period in the State.

The CM on Saturday held a high-level review meeting on containment of the spread of Coronavirus, implementation of lockdown and other issues at Pragathi Bhavan here. He has also discussed the issues to bring before the Cabinet meeting to be held tomorrow on Sunday.

“Poor should not suffer due to lockdown and they should not face any difficulty. This is the reason why the government supplied rice and cash to the white ration cardholders. Identify daily wager workers if any and extend assistance to them. Agriculture programme should be done as it is. Collectors and public representatives should monitor the procurement Centres. All the department in government should be on alert to respond to any problem or offer any help to the needy,” the CM said while instructing to implement lockdown more strictly especially in containment zones.
