Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to field the daughter of the former Prime Minister late PV Narasimha Rao, Vani Devi as its candidate for the MLC elections to the Hyderabad-RR-Mahabubnagar graduate constituency.
He announced her name today and handed over the B-form to her in the presence of large number of party leaders including Kesava Rao, Malla Reddy, and other ministers.
She has filed her nomination today. Earlier in the day, she paid homage at the Telangana martyrs memorial in Gun Park and raised Jai Telangana slogans.
Expressing gratitude, Vani Devi said that she would emerge as the winning candidate in the MLC elections and thanked the CM KCR for giving her the opportunity.
