Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has appreciated the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) for constructing six major bridges along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking after dedicating these six bridges to the nation through video conference today, Rajnath Singh said, “It is a pleasant experience to inaugurate these bridges that ‘connect people’, at a time when the world is insisting on keeping distance, being isolated from each other (due to COVID-19). I would like to congratulate the Border Road Organisation on completing this important task with great skill.”
He was all praise for the BRO for completing its construction in record time. It may be recalled the Army has assigned the construction works of these bridges to the BRO following a collapse of a bridge in the border area in Uttarakhand recently unable to bear a load of a heavy-duty military lorry carrying a JCB that fell into the deep gorge due to the collapse of the bridge.
