The recently revived Ramagundam Fertilisers and Chemicals is all set to start its Kisan Brand Urea production from the last week of this month.
Announcing this here in a video message today, Union Minister for State for Home Affairs Kishan Reddy informed that the central government has revived the RFC at a cost of Rs6000 crore and its Urea will be marketed in the brand name of ‘Kisan Urea’. He revealed this while assuring the farmers of all help and support from the Central government in meeting their demand for fertilisers.
However, he informed that there was some delay in importing urea through transportation due to heavy rains in the sea and even after it was docked at the Kakinada port. “This hampered the effort to bring in the Urea. But nothing to worry about as RFC will begin its production of Kisan brand urea from the last week of this month”, he declared while reiterating that the Modi’s government is committed to supplying 10.17 Crore metric tons of fertilisers to the farmers in the state as per their requirement.
He also said that he is in constant touch with the Union Fertilisers Ministers Sadananda Gowda only to ensure that the farmers in the state get the urea as per their requirement in the current season.
