RTA To Have Own Buildings In State : Mahendar Reddy

Hyderabad : Minister for Transport Mahendar Reddy declared that all the Road Transport Authority (RTA) complexes in every district across the state will have its own buildings. The government has sanctioned Rs.20 crore for the purpose, he announced. He was speaking at a meeting in RR district RTA employees’ on Monday evening. He said that all the district Collectors have been instructed to procure required lands to this effect besides setting up of drivers’ training schools at all district head quarters for unemployed youth. He said that an amount of Rs.6 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of RTA building of RR district. He also said that the RTA Officials would be made responsible for minimising the road accidents. It is their duty to lay plans to minimise road accidents. While stating that the officials have already identified accident prone sensitive points, he blamed the private vehicles for causing more number of accidents.
