The RTI Act became a huge success in Telangana as it helped people in getting their grievances redressed, claimed the Chief Information Commissioner of TS Dr Rajasadaram Soma.
He was addressing a meeting organised to commemorate the Right to Information Day 2018 at his office in Samachara Hakku Bhavan in MJ Market today. The Right to Information Act came into force on 12th October 2005. The Right to Information Act has been in force for 13 years.
State Information Commissioner Buddha Murali stated in his speech that it was the first meeting after the formation of Telangana State Information Commission and assured that they would strive to reach everyone in the society in connection with their grievances.
The others who participated in the meet including Special Chief Secretary Rajeswar Tiwari, Special Chief Secretary Ajay Misra, Principal Secretary to Government (Poll) Adhar Sinha, besides a large number of RTI activists.
