Salam Suicide: Muslim organisation demands apology from Chandrababu

President of AP Muslim Rights Welfare Association Syed Nooruddin is addressing press conference

The Andhra Pradesh state president of Muslim Rights Welfare Association Sayyed Nooruddin demanded the AP government to withdraw the case pending against the Abdul Salam besides enhancing the ex-gratia amount from 10 lakh to 25 lakh.

Addressing media here today, Nooruddin accused the former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of politicising Salam’s death whose family committed suicide due to police harassment. He pointed out that TDP was voted out of power as the minorities have rejected him as he had ruined the life of many minority youths by foisting cases against them especially of those who have staged a protest at the ‘Nara Hamara TDP Hamara’ meet held in Nandyal earlier.

“Today he is shedding crocodile tears by politicising the mass suicides of Salam’s family”, he said demanding an apology from Chandrababu before raising minorities’ issues.

While welcoming the government’s announcement of exgratia, he urged the CM to enhance the exgratia amount and withdraw cases pending against him and his family.
