A delegation from electronic giant Samsung met the Chief Minister here on Wednesday and apprised him of the provisions for introducing Contactless Card system based on CCHS system with one payment method which helps the citizens for best convenience in public transportation such as Oyster card in UK, Octopus card in Hongkong, Suica card in Japan.
The team led by its General Manager Dongsun Choi and the Project Director of Samsung Data Systems, India, Young IL Kim made a presentation to the Chief Minister on the Central Clearing Housing Systems (CCHS) with specific reference to Hyderabad city.
They said that these cards can make payment to various authorities of metros, buses, taxis as well as in the area of any retail shops. They also mentioned that CCHS is one of the legacy systems for any metro city which will provide most convenience to all. Linking this, they said, smart cities could be better managed. The team further appraised the Chief Minister about intelligent manufacturing, intelligent logistics, intelligent office, intelligent home, intelligent surveillance and smart education as part of smart city system. The Chief Minister asked the members to come up with specific proposals for Hyderabad city to make it a smart city and apply their experiences in a meaningful way.
