Santosh Keeps his promise, lays foundation stone for Eco-Tourism

MP Santosh Kumar and Minister Malla Reddy are seen laying a foundation stone for the construction of Eco-Tourism Park and Keesara

As promised earlier, TRS MP Joginipally Santosh Kumar has laid a foundation stone for converting 1550 acres of forest land in Keesara into an Eco-Tourism and Urban Forest Park. He also released Rs 2.97 crore to the forest officials from his MP Lad Funds. 

He handed over the cheque to this effect to the Chief Forest Officer R Shobha at a public function organised in this connection. It may be recalled Santosh had announced to adopt the Keesara Forest range following a call given by the TRS Working President KTR during his birthday recently. Accordingly, the MP accompanied by the Minister Malla Reddy, MLC Palla Rajeswar Reddy, and Chief Forest Officer R Shobha toured the Keesara forest area today. A photo exhibition was also organised on the occasion.


Large number of students and the local youth participated in the program with whom the dignitaries have planted over 10,000 saplings in the park. The locals especially the youth expressed their happiness at the outcome. Addressing the gathering, Minister Malla Reddy urged the MP to adjust the remaining money required additionally to complete the forest development including beautification of the tank, erecting fencing around park etc.

Santosh Kumar was, however, announced that he would do everything to mobilize money to complete the task. “I will not rest until the task is over. I imbibed this quality from CM KCR Garu and We will perform KTR birthday next here as he was the one who motivated me to take up this”.

Earlier, he performed a pooja at Ramalingeswara Swamy temple in Keesara before entering the forest. He went up to the viewpoint and surveyed the areas.
