Hyderabad, Sept. 22, 2014 (Telemedia) : The Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao sanctioned an whopping 20% bonus to the employees of the Singareni Colleries on the eve of Dussera festival. This is a record of sorts for the first time in the history of Singareni colleries announcing such a huge bonus. The earstwhile governments did not give bonus more than 1% till date.
The Chief Minister was responding to a plea by group of MLAs from Singareni Coal belt area led by Peddapalli MP, Balka Suman. Chennur MLA, Nallala Odelu, Ramagundem MLA Somarapu Satyanarayana, Bellampalli MLA Chennaia, Manchiryal MLA Diwakar Rao and others have called on the CM today and submitted a memorandum. The bonus will be linked to performance which will be on a par with that given by the Coal India Limited and amounts to a whopping Rs 240 crore. Each worker or employee of the Singareni will now get about Rs 40,000 as bonus, the CM said. Apart from this, the government has decided to fill 3,100 dependent category jobs on compassionate grounds. This should be done by the Deepawali, KCR said.
