Some more measures likely in a high-level emergency meeting tomorrow

Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao has decided to convene a high-level emergency meeting on Thursday to discuss measures to be taken to prevent the spread of Corona Virus in the State.

The proposed meeting at 2 PM in Pragati Bhavan wherein all district collectors, Police Commissioners, SPs are to be attended. Medical and Health Minister Etela Rajender, Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao, Panchayat Raj Minister E Dayakar Rao, Ministers from Hyderabad, Mohammed Ali, Srinivas Yadav, Ms Sabita Indrareddy, Malla Reddy, Deputy Speaker Padma Rao, Principal Secretaries of Medical and Health, Panchayat Raj, Municipal Administration, Commissioners have also been invited to the meeting.

In view of the fast-growing cases in the state especially from those coming from abroad, the CM has instructed the officials concerned to allow people coming from abroad to go home only after they went through the complete check-up. The State government had already implementing weekday and 15-day action plan to prevent the spread of the virus.

Some more preventive measures are likely to be expected tomorrow. It was decided to cancel meetings where there would be the possibility of having more crowds. The CM has urged people to stay away from festivals and celebrations, which would involve group activity. The CM wanted the people to understand the measures taken by the government to prevent the spread of Corona by thus saving the State. The CM also asked the people not to gather in large numbers at one place.
