The Sub-Inspector of Sanjeev Reddy Nagar police station in the city Bellana Bhasakar was caught red handed by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths while accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000.
The young police officer demanded the bribe from one Mohd Kasim for releasing a vehicle caught by the civil supplies department while transporting the material illegally earlier.
A case to this effect had been registered and investigation is on. He has been arrested and will be remanded to judicial custody tomorrow.
