Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar congratulated the Fisheries Department for getting the First Prize under the Best Inland Quasi Government Organization commemorating the World Fisheries Day.
While appreciating the Telangana State Fisherman Co-operative Societies Federation Ltd for getting a memento, Certificate and Rs.5 Lakhs Cash Prize from the Union Fisheries Ministry under Inland Category, Somesh Kumar said this was made possible due to increase in the fishing activity because of the increase in the water resources especially due to Kaleshwaram project.
Chief Secretary asked the officials to continue the same spirit in the future endeavour in implementing activities in the Fisheries Department. Secretary, Animal Husbandry Smt.Anita Rajendra and other officials participated in the program.
