Student jumps to death from Begumpet Metro station

A student pursuing his Chartered accountancy in the city committed suicide by jumping from the Begumpet Metro Station. He took this extreme step reportedly due to depression.

According to the police, the incident occurred last night wherein 23-year-old student Manjunath from Ramachandranagar in Mantralayam of Kurnool district jumped to death from the metro station. The police could learn the incident after searching the CCTV footage. It can be seen the boy was jumping off the railing atop the metro station. His brother Goverdhan arrived in the city today and complained to the police about missing of his brother.

He went out of touch with the family members for 4 days. When inquired by his brother over the phone the hostel owner informed him that he did not turn up for 4 days. Goverdhan arrived in the city only to complain about his missing brother. His body has been handed over to him.
