TD holds sting operation, says Govt’s conspiracy exposed

Telugu Desam Party former MLA Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar on Thursday accused the Jaganmohan Reddy Government of misusing CID officials to carry forward its atrocious conspiracy to defame former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in the assignment lands issue and thereby to crush the Amaravati Capital City.

Narendra Kumar said the CID police did not hesitate to mislead the Amaravati residents by taking their signatures in order to create false evidence to confirm whether they sold their assignment lands voluntarily or not. But then these unsuspecting residents were shown as complainants to book false cases against Chandrababu Naidu.

Addressing a media conference here, Narendra Kumar released videos of the sting operation conducted by the party on the Amaravati residents who were shown by the CID as complainants in the assignment lands’ sale issue. In the videos, the residents clearly said they had not given any complaints to the CID with regard to the sale of their lands at the time of the land pooling. They said that the CID personnel came and collected their signatures by telling us that it was just for checking whether or not they were the owners of those lands or not.

Strongly objecting to this, Narendra Kumar said that the videos were witness enough to say how a heinous ‘Government conspiracy’ was going on even as the CID officials took an active role in this as if they were the ruling YCP activists. A resident of Amaravathi Kanda Pavani said that she would not have signed in the document given by the CID had she told about the YCP Government’s plan. The police made sure she signed in the paper only to confirm the status of her ownership of the land. She said she had voluntarily sold 70 cents assignment land that came to her from her grandfather and there was no force from any side in this matter.

Another Amaravati resident named Addepalli Sambasiva Rao said in the video that he had some ‘konda poramboku’ land in capital City and sold part of it. He had clarified that there was no force on them to sell their lands at the time of the land pooling drive.

Citing these examples, Narendra Kumar expressed concern over the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy stooping down to so low by fabricating the evidence against a former Chief Minister only to kill Amaravati and for shifting the Capital to Vizag. “If Jagan Reddy has courage, he should have accepted the fact that he himself had welcomed Amaravathi as capital on the floor of the house”, said Narendra Kumar.

Dismissing any foul play in the Amaravati lands, Narendra Kumar said that the GO No 41 about which YCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy was making a big fuss was issued in 2016, nearly over a year after the land pooling scheme GO was issued by the TDP regime. Moreover, GO 41 pertaining to the assignment lands was issued based on a proposal from the then Guntur Collector Kantilal Dande and its approval from the then Secretary. “Chandrababu and Narayana have just ratified that proposal in their capacity as the then CM and Minister respectively”, said the TD leader.

Narendra Kumar further deplored the Jagan regime for causing huge losses to lakhs of residents in the Amaravati Capital City area. The Government was still continuing its ‘politically motivated cases’ in the false hopes of shifting Capital against the wishes of the people. It was the ruling YCP Ministers like Botsa Satyanarayana and Vellampalli Srinivas against whom cases should be filed for betraying the Amaravati residents with their false promises prior to 2019 elections. Cases should also be filed against CM Jagan Reddy for causing heavy losses to the thousands of Amaravati farmers who sacrificed their 34,000 acres of ancestral lands for developing AP Capital.
