Telangana Media Academy has announced financial assistance of Rs 20,000 to 3 Journalists who were tested positive besides Rs 10,000 each to the two journalists placed under home quarantine in Mahabubnagar district.
Announcing this in a statement issued here today, Academy Chairman Allam Narayana said that a total sum of Rs 80,000 has been credited into the savings bank accounts of the beneficiaries concerned.
Allam Narayana further revealed that Academy has so far helped at least 10 journalists with Rs 10,000 each in Jogulamba Gadwal and Hyderabad districts besides Rs 10,000 each to another 11 journalists who were in quarantine in the same district totalling to Rs 3.10 lakh from the academy funds.
He urged the doctors to provide full-fledged medical facilities to those undergoing treatment right now and urged the Journalists community to strictly maintain the Covid regulations by using facial masks, sanitizers and personal protection equipment in special situations. “This is essential as Journalists play a vital role in educating people about preventing Coronavirus”, said Allam Narayana.
